Leadership Team

 Church Staff:

 Jack Olson - Senior Pastor

Jack was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and came to know Jesus as Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of twenty-one, after growing up as an atheist. Shortly after coming to Christ, Jack met his wonderful wife, Heather, and he also felt a strong call to go into ministry, which the two began to test together.  Prior to becoming a pastor at Faith Church, Jack was a police officer for five years with the Colorado Springs Police Department while he continued to grow in his faith and calling while attending and volunteering at another EFCA church.  Prior to stepping into the senior pastor role, Jack was the associate pastor with an emphasis in youth ministry for three years.  Wahpeton has become home for Jack and Heather, and they are excited to raise their two little ones (Oliver and Charlotte) here.  Jack loves hockey, guns, and talking/studying/reading all things theology.  His favorite passage of Scripture (a very hard decision for him) would probably be Isaiah 53.

Board of Elders:

As an Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA) church, Faith Church is congregationally governed and Elder led. The general role of the Elder Board, in addition to providing policy guidance and overall governance, is to provide for the spiritual life and ministry direction of the church.

Jim Albrecht - Chairman, Elder

Jim was raised in a farming community in northeast North Dakota and grew up attending a Mennonite Church. He attended college at UND in Grand Forks and his career path took him to the Twin Cities for a few years before moving to Wahpeton. He and his wife Karen, along with 5 children, started attending Faith Church in 2007. Jim works in Wahpeton for ComDel Innovation, a contract product development and manufacturing company.

Patrick Anderson - Secretary, Elder

Patrick Anderson grew up in west central MN in the small town of Evansville. He moved to Breckenridge in 1995 and became a Christian in 1997. He is married to his wife, Lynda, and they have three children.  Patrick works as an instructor in the Diesel Department at NDSCS in Wahpeton. He enjoys spending time at the lake with his family, skiing in the winter, cooking up recipes, enjoys following the local, college and professional sports teams, and the annual family deer hunting trip.

Dr. Ken Kompelien - Elder

Ken grew up attending an Evangelical Free Church in northern Minnesota and came to know the Lord while in Vacation Bible School at the age of five. Ken has attended Faith Church since 1997 with his wife Jan, and their three (now adult) children. Ken has served as a youth group leader, Sunday school teacher and worship leader. He has been one of the Faith Church Elders since 2008 and has served as church chairman from 2013-2025. He loves his family, sports (especially the Minnesota Vikings and Twins, and UND hockey) and fishing and spending time at the lake.

Rockey Stoltenow - Elder

Rockey grew up on a farm in the Wahpeton area. Even though he was raised in a Christian home it was not until his college years he was moved to trust Christ as the Lord of his life. In the late 70's he began farming with his father. In 1979 he married Lyn. They have been members of Faith for over 30 years. They have 3 children and 12 grandchildren. A verse that has always been a goal is Psalm 34:3, O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt us name forever.
