Dr. Jon Van Dine - Interim Pastor
Jon and his wife Teresa both grew up in Iowa. They met after high school at Jon’s home church. The ministry of that church in their lives set them on a course that lead to their meeting, marriage, and to a life of ministry together. Jon earned his Master of Divinity from Western Seminary (Portland OR) and his Doctor of Ministry from Biola University (La Mirada CA). In addition to those pursuits, they have served five churches together. Their two daughters are both married and they have two wonderful twin granddaughters. Jon loves all things coffee, and he enjoys fishing, woodworking and collecting fountain pens. There is something relaxing about a fountain pen that just doesn’t come through a computer. Teresa is a musician with a worshiper’s heart. She has a collection of acoustic guitars. Hearing her play her Guild twelve-string caught Jon’s attention even before they met. Their journey following Jesus and serving churches could best be described with a phrase from Eugene Perterson: “a long obedience in the same direction.”

Joshua grew up south of Wahpeton on his family’s farm and has been a part of Faith Church since the beginning as his family was one of the founding members. He has always considered Faith his home church and has many fond memories of youth group and other events surrounding the church growing up. Missions played a key role in his spiritual development as he participated in Royal Servants/Peak Performance missions trips as a teen and young adult. He graduated from NDSU and married a mysterious Texas girl, Sarah, in 2007. They have three children Adelaide (8), Ezra (7), and Cora (1).
Joshua continues the family farming tradition in La Mars township ND as well as overseeing development of an agriculture/missions project in Mozambique Africa in partnership with family. He has a passion to see agriculture/business used for the glory of God and the expansion of His Kingdom. Joshua longs to see Faith Church as a vital hub in the community of Wahpeton/Breckenridge and also to see it spearheading the movement of God’s Kingdom across the globe.
